The Tamla Soul is a bar near the marina, which is a piece of cake to find, which boasts a large well-stocked bar, basket meals and the ever popular all-day breakfast, a large terrace to the rear, a funky computerised music system and a dance floor with the latest light show.

Above all, the music theme is Tamla Motown and soul, spun by Corby DJ Des Barber. You've gotta give it a try!

If you're stuck for a prezzie for a soulie mate this Christmas, hop in the car and head across to Skegness where you will find a gem of a shop, doubling as a cafe cum takeaway called Fiesta Gifts.

It's easy to find. Just head down the main shopping street, Lumley Road, heading away from the Clock Tower. Get to the end of the road, and turn left towards the train station. Tucked away next to the public loos, there it is. You won't miss it, it has an immaculate Lambretta parked on the pavement outside.

Inside it's a goldmine of memorabilia, selling the likes of tee-shirts, handbags mugs, badges etc. etc. Have a cuppa, listen to the sounds (The Capreez and Eddie Parker when I was last in there) and have a good browse - I'll guarantee you have to buy something. I'm getting a KTF mug for Christmas, and guess where it came from!
